Research Training Opportunities

This program provides a minimum of two years of salary support for pre-doctoral candidates (PhD or equivalent) and post-doctoral fellows (PhD, MD, or comparable). We are currently accepting application for one (1) Post-doc slot due October 19, 2026!

The study was conducted by the Penn-CHOP Kidney Innovation Center, a research collaboration between PSOM and CHOP.

Pre-doc Emma Warrner first author on syntheic kidney engineering paper

Her paper in Nature Biotech highlights emerging tools in synthetic biology, spatial patterning and control over tissue microenvironments that can set initial and boundary conditions to instigate and guide the development of a desired 'motif'.
